If you are new to GTA RP or FiveM, this guide walks you through the basics, how whitelist servers work, and what the Cabana onboarding path looks like from Discord to launch day.
GTA RP, or GTA roleplay, is a multiplayer experience where you create a character and interact with other players in a shared world.
Instead of playing GTA normally, you stay in character and treat situations as if they were real. Every interaction becomes part of an ongoing story shaped by the people around you.
Most GTA RP servers run on FiveM.
FiveM is a platform that allows you to join custom GTA V multiplayer servers with their own rules, systems, and communities.
Most serious servers use Discord and whitelist systems. You usually join their Discord, complete their application, and get access once approved. This is how Cabana Roleplay works.
You can also search for servers directly inside FiveM, but many higher-quality servers will not let you join without being whitelisted first.
A whitelist server requires you to apply before joining.
The goal is to keep roleplay standards consistent, filter out low-effort players, and make sure everyone understands how the server works.
This is where everything starts. You will find announcements, rules, and access to the whitelist.
Connect your Discord account on the website so your identity stays tied to the application and community systems.
Answer the whitelist questions, go through review, and wait for the final staff decision.
Once approved, your Discord role and access are synced so you can jump in cleanly.
