Character concept
My name is Mohammed Ashkari. I was born in Iran and grew up poor with my family. My father has worked as a coal miner all his life. He was a good man sometimes but when he drank too much he got angry and sometimes hit me or my brothers. Not every day, only when we make mistakes, but still it makes me scared of him. My mother was kind, she always tried to hold the family together when father was drunk. In school I never care about grades. The teachers only give good grades to kids with money or family name. It was all favoritism and corruption so I know it no matter how hard I study. If I stay there I will become a coal miner too, like my father, like his father before him. I didn’t want that. Since I was young I always dreamed about America. People say you can get rich there, get a good job, a nice car, maybe even a family with a good life. My dream always was Toyota Supra. I know if I stay in Iran, I will never touch that car. So I save money. My family too saved, 19 years of saving little by little. Finally at age 20 I decided to leave. I give the smugglers money, they say they get me to America. The way was dangerous. I hid inside a cruise ship, deep in the engine room. It was hot, noisy, and dirty. I stayed there the whole trip, ate little, and moved around so my body would not get weak. When I got out I was more ripped than before because I use my muscles every day to survive. When the ship arrived I thought I was in Los Santos but no, I was in New York. At first I felt lost, scared. My English is not good, only little words. For three days I beg on the streets, asking people for food or coins. On the fourth day I see the train, I learn people can ride on top for free. It was illegal but I had no choice, no money. So I trainsurfed all the way to Los Santos. My plan here is simple. First find a good job, then send money home. One day when I save enough I buy a Toyota Supra. That has been my dream since I was a child.
